Define Your God 1

Part Two

Part Three

Part Four

Part Five

Do you love your god?

What is your god?

Everyone has one. They’re common as buttons on a shirt. Gods can be found in forests, in the sky, in the wallet, in your best friend. Who do you worship?

Tell me, sometimes your god might fail you, am I right? The forest may be filled with some pretty irritating bugs, such as mosquitoes or spiders. The sky might let rain fall on your perfectly planned picnic. Your wallet may be more stress and emptiness than you are able to handle. Your best friend may fail to understand you, maybe even fail you entirely. Does your god fail?

What is your god? Is your god perfect? Does your god measure up to “god-ness” when you consider your expectations? Is your god aloof, distant, uncaring, too far away to touch?

Does your god speak to you? What do you know about the One Being That Rules Your Universe? Is that Being a part of your life on purpose? Do you bring your god with you everywhere you go? Or do you call your god when you are in need? Do you hide from your god’s involvement? Do you ever hear from your god? Do you consider your Most Important Object/Thing/Relationship/Person/Mood/Ideal as a critical dealing with your god?

By what standard do you judge your life? What is it that tells you about the level of pain you feel? What fills you with confidence? What shows you your failure? Who tells you how right you are? Who defines your need to find closure? Who defines the requirements for that closure? When you hurt someone, how do you know? When someone hurts you, how do you know?

Part One of Define Your God.
